Stripes & Denim Project Bag

編みかけの作品を連れて、どこへでも。
昔の縞柄の麻の着物地とデニムを組み合わせて作った、編み物のためのプロジェクトバッグです。
編み物を持ち歩くとき、ひとつだけどうしても気になるのが、ジッパーに糸が挟まってしまうこと。
そこで、ジッパーのすぐ下に小さなフラップをつけました。これが編み糸をそっと守ってくれるので、ジッパーに糸を噛ませることなく、編みかけの作品をすっぽり安全にしまっておけます。
昔の布とデニムの組み合わせも、このバッグの好きなところ。使い込むほどに、それぞれの布が少しずつ馴染んでいくのも楽しみのひとつです。
手首に掛けられる小さなハンドル付きなので、ちょっと持って出かけるときにも。

A little bag for carrying the project you’re making, wherever you go.
Made from vintage striped linen kimono fabric and denim, this project bag was designed especially for knitting on the move.
There is one small thing that has always bothered me about carrying knitting in a zippered pouch: yarn has a terrible habit of getting caught in the zipper.
So I added a small protective flap just beneath the zip. It keeps your yarn safely away from the teeth, so you can close the bag without worrying about catching your precious knitting along with it.
I especially love the combination of the old striped fabric and sturdy denim. As the bag is used, both fabrics will gradually soften and settle into their own character.
A small wrist handle makes it easy to pick up and take along, whether you’re heading out for the day or simply moving your knitting from one room to another.
